Chukka Caribbean Adventures Wins 2010 World Travel Award as “Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Excursion Operator”

October 24, 2010 (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - For the fourth consecutive year, Green Globe Certified, Chukka Caribbean Adventures won the prestigious World Travel Award as the Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Excursion Tour Operator. The award was presented to Chukka Caribbean Adventures on Friday night during a ceremony held in Jamaica.

“This award is a testament to the work we do at Chukka Caribbean Adventures to ensure we maintain the most stringent standards while also keeping our growing number of customers smiling every time they visit one of our sites,” says John Byles, co-managing Director. “At Chukka, we are extremely honoured to receive such a prestigious award recognizing the work we do.”

The World Travel Awards have become renowned and coveted since their inception in 1993. The organization’s aim is to encourage world-class competition, stimulate innovation and creativity as well as ensure that travelers receive exceptional value.

The award voting process involves executives working within travel and tourism, but notably the majority are travel agents. In 2009, the voting was opened to the travelling public. Votes cast by travel agent voters count as two votes while the votes cast by non-industry voters count as one vote.

With operations in Jamaica, Grand Turks and Belize the award recognizes the contribution of each of the operations and their role in ensuring outstanding experiences are delivered to visitors from around the world.
