Chukka Caribbean Adventures the number one nature adventure provider in the region has announced the Jamaican launch of a new category of unique nature adventure tours – The Polo Collection. This distinctive new adventure category is based on the popular tours for which Chukka Caribbean Adventures is known, but with a twist.
For example, guests looking for nightlife won’t want to miss the first of the Polo Collection tours -- the Twilight Canopy Adventure in Montego Bay. A fortunate few will find themselves in the Jamaican forest at sunset, stepping off their platform perch to fly through the lush canopy, enveloped by darkness and the sounds of the night. The adventure continues at the Chukka Jungle Outpost with bonfire-lit fine dining and live entertainment in the heart of Jamaica.
“The Polo Collection was conceived in the same adventurous spirit – and love of polo -- that launched the Chukka business,” Says co-managing director, Marc Melville. “Taking polo ponies for therapeutic swims after matches proved to be just as enjoyable for the riders and eventually friends were requesting to just ride and swim, and Chukka founder Danny Melville recognized an opportunity to transform a passion into a business. “We are constantly exploring and looking for the next adventure that will excite us and make us want to share it. In the case of the Polo Collection, our unique experiences of our own line of tours in Jamaica led us to that eureka moment; at the same time helping us fulfill a need from our hotel partners for new and more exclusive expeditions for their clientele.”
The second tour in the Polo Collection category is High Tea Horseback, a variation on Chukka’s signature tour. Riders will saddle up for a ride that will take them through a tropical forest, into the Jamaican countryside then up Cliffside for a panoramic view of the Jamaican coastline. Back at Chukka Blue they’ll be served High Tea with white glove service Chukka style in a grassy meadow. And then they’ll go where only Chukka can take them -- to experience the warm surf of the Caribbean Sea on horseback.
The third tour to launch the Polo Collection is the much anticipated Jamaica Dogsled Experience in Ocho Rios. This exclusive and very limited tour offers animal lovers a day an opportunity to mush a team of spirited dogs in a one-of-a-kind buggy at the beautiful Chukka Cove. Guests will receive training from the team’s lead musher, Devon Anderson, between his stints training in the Yukon and competing, and our Jamaican mushers-in-training. They’ll assist in all aspects of readying the team for their run and rewarding these “Sun Dogs” after the journey.
There are a total of ten tours in development for Jamaica including a Polo Collection adventure to the undiscovered south coast at YS Falls.
Polo Collection guests will also received a signature backpack stocked with rejuvenating items like water and snacks as well as a special gift from Chukka Caribbean Adventures specific to each of the new tours.
