On this river our ancient legend is about an Arawak Indian Witch who knew were gold was stashed; she was captured by the greedy Spaniards who wanted her to lead them to the gold She led the unsuspecting Spaniards to the entrance of a cave and used her magical strength to change the course of the river. The cave inundated and the rest is for you to tell the tale.

Your adventure begins on this Martha Brae River; you will be tubing down the legendary river where you may see precious stones, view the scenic route that runaway slaves and plantation owners experienced. Find gold if you are lucky under the cut stone bridge and discover Jamaica at it best.
