The Jamaica Dog Sled tour encounter is located at Chukka Cove Farm. The moment you arrive, our most loved host” Isabella “ will give you a real “Mush Mon” Jamaican welcome, then its off to the kennels to meet all of her friends, who are waiting to greet you with a “lick and a handshake” and that is where the real fun and adventure begins.

Learn the amazing history of Sled Dog Sports, even more fascinating is the story of how we brought this traditional winter sport to Jamaica, boasting the first Sled Dog Team to come from the Caribbean.

We will share with you the art of “Mushing” along with many stories of our dogs, and how they came to join the team, many of whom came from the shelters of the JSPCA, and as we like to say are now our “Second Chance Stars” . Our stars have made it to the big screen , in their own documentary, Sun Dogs, which you will have the opportunity to preview the trailer and fall in love with the dogs all over again!

Then the thrill begins, as we harness the dogs, and take them out for an exhibition run, with our very own Jamaican Musher at the helm, where you will see them perform their various maneuvers highlighting their new found skills! Only in Jamaica, with Chukka Caribbean Adventures can you find the Jamaica Dogsled Encounter.

If that were not enough, we then take you on to what we call “part two”, where you will stop in at Jamaica's World Famous Dunns River Falls for a dip or a climb in her refreshing waters, then its on to the Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville for lunch. Located in the premier Shopping and Entertainment Complex, of Island Village Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is a part of our Dog Sled encounter, not only because it is the Must Do lunch spot while visiting Ocho Rios, but more importantly because Jimmy himself is the official “Godfather” of the Jamaica Dog Sled Team, as the major supporter of the team since its inception in 2005.
